In all aspects of reality, believing 2+2=5 is not just incorrect - it represents the acceptance of propaganda designed to undermine the foundations of natural order.
As George Orwell aptly identified in his dystopian masterpiece 1984, the Party (or, in my example, our modern culture) “told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
Our culture, like Orwell's Party, has programmed us to believe that watching porn is natural and compatible with a monogamous, trusting relationship.
Hard truth incoming.
Saying you are completely faithful to your lover while watching porn in a monogamous relationship is like saying 2+2=5.
It’s propaganda. It’s gaslighting. It’s not the truth.
This equation is incompatible with reality and is a complete contradiction.
The sooner you come to terms with the fact that introducing porn compromises monogamy, the sooner you can make a decision:
Keep the porn and sacrifice the genuine intimacy, trust, and emotional connection that form the foundation of a thriving relationship with your lover.
Ditch the porn and cultivate a truly healthy, deeply satisfying, and authentically monogamous bond, built on mutual respect, trust, and vulnerability.
Trying to balance both will not end well.

Practical Tips: Change the Outcome of Your Equation
Porn use is often the result of an equation: an event + our reaction to the event = turning to porn.
Let me break it down with a few examples:
Event: I didn’t get any sleep last night.
Reaction: I’m incredibly tired and don’t feel well physically.
Outcome: I look at porn.Event: My girlfriend and I got into an argument.
Reaction: I’m irritated and feel unheard.
Outcome: I look at porn.Event: I didn’t get the promotion I thought I deserved.
Reaction: I feel undervalued and frustrated.
Outcome: I look at porn.
This equation wreaked havoc in my life for years, and if you’re reading this, I’m guessing it’s done the same for you.
The problem with this equation is that it embeds itself into our subconscious at a young age. We begin to accept it as unchangeable, a fact of life, like 2+2=4.
But here’s the thing: this equation is not a fact.
Unlike mathematical truths, this “porn equation” is a falsehood. Worse, it’s dangerous. It creates a pattern of escape that undermines our ability to face challenges, process emotions, and live authentically.
The good news? You can change the equation.

How do we begin to understand that 2+2 does not equal 5, but instead equals 4, especially if we’ve believed otherwise for most of our lives?
We need to return to reality.
We need to think logically.
We need to say it out loud: “Things aren’t adding up.”
Why? Because the solutions we’ve been getting aren’t useful. The equation doesn’t serve us.
The good news is that we can change the = sign in the formula.
Yes, life happens. Events will affect us. But no matter the event, we still have a choice in how we respond and what action we take next.
You can face challenges that make you angry, sad, or exhausted and still not look at porn.
Examples:
Event: I didn’t get any sleep last night.
