I've fought too hard to abandon my vessel,
the swelling tide of pride to consume me.
The dangerous waves of vanity I wrestle,
engulfing the passage to be free.
The megalithic sea of reality writhing rhythmically,
crashing a ship or propelling a trip.
As I crash upon the sea,
I fear I may lose my grip.
The wet tomb of darkness beckoning my surrender,
I fight on through it all.
Diligence and courage I must remember,
to close my senses to the siren call.
The ocean of death never to sleep,
yet I sail to live forever.
Never a salty tear too deep,
for me to ever say never.
