The Prey
His eyes glide down her digital thighs.
Succulent thoughts to chew on, a tantalizing taffy.
Guilty machinations swarm his brain and pollinate drowsy dust upon his senses.
His gaze is transfixed in the dopamine haze, eyes searing into the orgy of ecstasy.
Thumping full of comfort and numb relief as he relaxes his consciousness and conscience.
What is thumping into his heart is a poison.
A poison that slowly decays the youthful innocence granted from his creator and cleverly turns the victim into the shadows to wander aimlessly.
The pulsing continues until the stunned prey succumbs to the predatory feast and the poisonous release.
The life force leaving him, he is numb to the bite.
Although this vampire is hungry, it knows not to fully kill its livestock for it must feast forever.
The man still has a chance to escape his predator by not taking the bait.
The digital sugar cane a poor substitute for the sweetness of the soil and the toil of our lives.
He must risk to escape, breaking the bonds of gratification and isolation.
Or will he stay the prey?
