Sobriety is a game of inches.
A small fumble can cost you the game.
Consistency and cohesion keeps your home field advantage strong.
You got to have that dog in you if you are in enemy territory.
Some games will be in the sleet, some in the sunshine.
You got to be tough to thrive.
Defense wins championships, so defend your mind.
Be a playmaker to grow your lead.
You will electrify your fans when you score.
They will also place bags on their ends if you get blown out, so play to win and your diehards will know you played the best you could have.
Get the easy wins, hit your extra points.
Never leave it to the refs when putting it on the line, be ruthless in your victory.
Sometimes you will get so hard your head will spin, take a play or two and get back on the field.
Other times, you are laying the hit down on your opponent and they need assistance off the field.
Pick your style and how you get it done.
Are you going to use your raw power to break your way into the endzone, leaving your tacklers reeling on the grass?
Or are you going to lean into your finesse to zig/zag, juke, spin, razzle dazzle your path to glory as your opponent walks back to pick up their cleats?
The main question is, will you be great?
To be a Hall of Famer, you need to lean into your gifts and own who you are.
The media can say all they want to get in your head, but if you are great, you will not need to heed any of their feeds.
Dare to be great and aim to break records.
Set the tone in the locker room.
Practice harder than you play.
Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
Repeat until it is muscle memory to be great.
Remember that your decisions will either drive your team to new heights or crash your teams dreams into the abyss of despair.
Seize the moment when it is crunch time and be the person who wants the ball.
Remember always that this is a game of inches and one inch could change your life.
